Well our 1st X-Mas home is gone. It was a great day!! We had family and friends here for dinner.. I never knew I could get so many people in this house LOL Zack did so well most of the day.

I have a few pics to post from X-Mas morning and a few from tonight. He is getting so big considering where he started from. He also has a stubborn streak and temper a mile long LOL
My brother was taking video all day of everything, I will have to get a copy of that. It will be some awsome memories to keep!!!

I also wanted to Thank everyone for ALL the stuff they got for Zack this yr at Christmas!! I don't know where we are going to put it all LOL

Also I wanted to say a HUGE CONGRATS to my SIL who got ENGAGED Christmas morning!!!! I am so happy you and Dan found each other, you two compliment each other so well. And he is even willing to enter this crazy family with us, knowing how we ALL are!!!! LOL (the man is brave!!! J/K)It must be TRUE love LOL Again Michelle CONGRATS!!!!!

Michelle: CONGRATS!!! It was a long time coming, have a great trip!!! I am so happy for you!! I hope all the Faithful families are almost HOME!!! I want some pics!!!!!!



Tamara: I don't know what happened, after we got him home and he was used to eating baby food he just took off!! LOL He is picky about what type of baby food, he really will only eat organic baby foods ( NOT the Gerber ones either.) The other he won't even finish EXCEPT for the Beechnut "Rice cereal with apples and cinn." He has that every morning for breakfast. I love that there is finally some meat on his little bone!!! He went from eating about 1 oz in July with a MEGA fight to about 6-7oz 3x's a day plus his 4 bottles of formula a day. Still will not try table food though... HATES mashed tators LOL



Now on to Zack, He is doing well..... Gaining weight and growing... He is up to almost 22lbs and is almost 30inches long.

We are setting all his O/T, P/T and ALL the others schedules now to start working with him. The O/T we was assigned also has a Visually Impaired daughter...So I am happy about this as she will have a better understanding of how Zack can and will learn.

Jo from Delta Gamma is the most wonderful person and Zack really seems to like her, all of her ways of teaching seems like playing to him and that is wonderful.

We have started him on DDAVP for his Diabetes Insipidus (DI) at first we thought we was going to have to give him daily injections, But the Dr called me Monday and said he had thought about this all weekend and wanted to know if I would be able to get a pill down him instead. At first I was leary but he went on to tell me that Zack would only take 1/4 th of the pill 2x's daily. His nurse called me (Wonderful lady) and said to cut the pill into 4ths and put 1 - 4th in some room temp water and let dissolve then put into a syringe.... OMG this worked well!!! So we have been on meds all week and his 10lbs wet diapers have come to a halt. Now he wets like normal and he no longer wakes with him and his bed soaked...(so happy for this, Debbie you know what I mean LOL, you seem me have to wash his bedding everyday) He has to have a break through(pee'd) before his next dose which are 12hrs apart. We are trying 6am and 6pm, so far things are working well.... His thirst is so much better... he no longer sucks a 10 oz bottle in less than 5 minutes and NO more throwing up after from gorging on his bottle!!! (Debbie this is what all the throwing up his bottles was from) He was so thirsty that he drank wayyyy to fast and made himself sick.

The only thing I don't like is he went from drinking 10-11 oz bottles 4 times a day to maybe 6-8 oz bottles 4 times a day... I will call his nurse on Monday because his Nutritionist... But other than that things are going well and he seems so much more spunky now and much more happy and not so tired and cranky.

He is making some huge strides forward and you all know as a mommy nothing makes you happier for your kids.

The other night we sat on the couch and talked back and forth, he was telling me a story...I'm sure it was about Grandma and thier day together LOL and I would ask him "really?" and he would continue his story... I can't wait to be able to understand what he is saying LOL

Today is my family Thanksgiving dinner and I will post more pics after we get home tonight. Zack is still not eating table foods so he will have his Turkey and Veggie baby food today...I mean how can I sit there and eat Turkey and him have none LOL
He has come so far since I got him in July, all I can say is THANK GOD he is doing so well with all the issues he has.
I am Thank this yr for:
1. Zackie being home
2. He is growing
3. He is learning new things everyday
4. My family is all under one roof, we are all doing well and adjusting great!!!
